The Junior Band is the next step after Beginning Band, designed for students who are ready to grow their musical skills. It’s a great fit for students who completed Beginning Band in 6th grade, any students just starting an instrument, or 8th graders who want to strengthen their foundation before joining a high school band.

In Junior Band, students deepen their understanding of music, improve technique, and gain experience performing as a full ensemble, all in a supportive, skill-building environment. Students can play the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion (drums and mallets), or other band instruments with director approval.

This group focuses on progress, confidence, and preparing for more advanced music in the future, while still having fun along the way!
